BisonBox was born from a simple idea: take the proven reliability of commercial refrigeration and make it mobile. Founded by Erik Horn, owner of Montana Refrigeration, BisonBox extends decades of cold-storage experience to businesses, farms, and events across Montana.

Erik began his refrigeration career in 2003, studying at the Career Institute of Technology and Pennsylvania College of Technology before earning his degree in Heating, Ventilation, and Refrigeration. For nearly twenty years, he worked as a technician serving supermarkets, cold-storage facilities, and food distribution centers, gaining firsthand insight into what keeps cooling systems dependable under pressure.
